Experience
Over the last 17 years, I have played a central role in teaching, teaching innovation and teaching management in the Psychology bachelor and master's programs. From 2007-2010 I was a member of the Faculty Board (vice-dean education). I have developed a critical thinking course which has become a valued core academic course in the second year of the bachelor program. I also set-up the first-year teambuilding exercise and student conference which have become pivotal moments in the introduction of Psychology students to academic life. In addition, I am the faculty coordinator of the Marble excellence program. My main educational interests are in enhancing creative, cooperative and critical thinking skills in Higher Education. In my managerial roles, I aim to maximise professional engagement and minimise procedural burden. Since the start, I have also played an active part in the Recognition & Reward initiatives at Maastricht University to make room for everybody's talent.
