An important element of Recognition & Rewards is our collective motivation to re-vitalize the system of assessment, working conditions, responsibility for fair collaboration and personal leadership. To help the critical mass of support to grow, you could spread our word. Refer to our programme in talks and presentations, write about us, share documents and post about elements that inspire you via socials.

Since the programme aimes for a culture- as well as a system shift, we make progress with personal stories and practices. It makes sense to hear and read about others who were the first to step on the ice. We collect practices on RRview and in our e-magazines (2022, 2023, 2024).

💡 About becoming a member of our online platform RRview
In the closed section of RRview, we collaborate on improvement of themes from the position paper 'Room for everyones talent in practice' via different theme groups. If you think you can provide input via dialogue or content, you can use this form and send a request to login and make a personale profile. Our communitymanager will consider carefully whether your membership is relevant for both the community and yourself. Of course, we warmly welcome enthusiast colleagues!
💡 About making sure for yourself that you fit into our new system
An important if not essential step in the right direction is to identify for yourself what concrete steps you can take to design your career according to the principles of Recognition & Rewards. In doing so, also dwell on whether certain thinking habits and assumptions need to change. For example, it could be that you would much rather develop horizontally than aim for the next rung on the academic ladder. Or that you see this going on among colleagues. Encourage yourself and those around you towards quality, well-being and responsible engagement.

All renewal starts with trial and errors. This culture and system change is carfully considered and formulated by your collegues in academia. We all make mistakes ánd soms things you can't know in advance. We really appreciate it when you take some time to formulate properly where, when and because of what the friction you've found starts.
