The academic ladder symbolises a career that moves upwards step by step along a traditional path. This individual, narrow ladder stands in sharp contrast to the new, in line with Recognition & Rewards diverse career paths and the strengthening of the scientific team.
On top of that, the reality is that academic institutions do not have the budget to finance a straight upward trajectory for every individual scientist. And, perhaps even more importantly, the question is: isn't the prospect of climbing that ladder far too narrow? What is the alternative?
In this session we focus on the core of this topic: job satisfaction. We talk with a group of academics (with an UD position) that tell us openly what they aim for to stay in touch with what they deeply aim for as a scientist. We highlight possibilities, question assumptions and shift perspectives.
Please help us to spread the word! It would be great if you could share this announcement in internal newsletters or via socials (you can copy/past the image above). You can add this link if you like.
We will write a report afterwards, to share the visions.
