The Constitutive Assembly of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA) will be held on Thursday, 1 December 2022, 10:30 – 15:10 CET, online.

This is a kind reminder to organisations that have yet to register for the meeting to please do so by 24 November 2022 (Midnight CET). The registration link is provided in the box below.

We would like to stress that organisations that do not register to the meeting, request a proxy, or confirm their membership via email by 24 November (Midnight CET) will not be considered members on the day of the Constitutive Assembly. As a consequence, it will not be possible to attend the meeting or vote if you have not registered by this deadline.

Participation to this Assembly meeting is by invitation only and is restricted to eligible organisations that signed the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment by 17 November 2022.

By registering to attend the Constitutive Assembly, your organisation commits to membership of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment.

Organisations that would like to be considered as a member of CoARA but cannot attend the Constitutive Assembly can request a proxy vote by nominating a member organisation in attendance. Please request a proxy vote via email to: info@coara.eu by 24 November (Midnight CET).

Organisations that cannot attend the Assembly and do not wish to nominate a proxy vote can confirm their membership of the coalition via email to: info@coara.eu by 24 November (Midnight CET).

We request that organisations limit their participation to one representative (designated the voting representative). Exceptionally, one additional observer may be excepted upon request.

The Constitutive Assembly of CoARA will serve to launch the Coalition. It will be the meeting where the governance documents of the Coalition will formally be adopted, the Steering Board, including Chair and Vice-Chairs will be elected, the Secretariat will be appointed, and the preliminary work plan and budget of the Coalition will be endorsed.

All documents, including the voting procedure for this Constitutive Assembly will now be shared on Friday, 25 November.

Individualised invitations to the online voting system will be shared with all voting representatives on Monday, 28 November.
