Professor Marieke Adriaanse


In an open and honest conversation, professor Marieke Adriaanse explains what seduced and motivates her to commit to Recognition & Rewards since ten years. One of her distinctive features is here way of practising what she preaches. She embodies our movement of reforming academia. She has been doing this consistently since she became a professor Behavioral Interventions in Population Health Management -a combined chair of the Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC) and the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences (FSW)- at the end of 2022.
She has focused both her working methods and her inaugural lecture on this, applies the concept of team science extensively in her daily work, and remains committed to the R&R paradigm in her role as “a chair at the table”.
