From words to deeds-concrete actions to reward and assess societal impact

On 13 April we (Annelinde Vandenbroucke, Sharon Unsworth, Ymke Bresser and Jeanette Mostert) organised a workhop at the R&R festival on how to reward and assess science communication and public engagement activities in academia. We have summarised the main outcomes from this workshop in the attached document, formulating the steps that should be taken tomorrow, in a year and in five years.
